DonorDirect Celebrates 8th Anniversary
What started as an opportunity to help ministries take advantage of emerging technology 25 years ago has grown into the only enterprise-wide donor management system developed exclusively for ministries. Over the past 25 years Frank Smith and his team have had the opportunity to help hundreds of ministries utilize technology to help fulfill their organization's mission.

In 1999, Frank and his team leveraged their extensive ministry experience, programming and system design skills to form DonorDirect, a software company dedicated to producing world-class software for ministries.

Frank attributes the success of DonorDirect to, "our ability to stay focused on one market, to become experts in that market, and to be able to retain a talented team over the years."

Vice President David Smith joined the team in the mid 1980's, System Services Director Sharon Joyce in the early 90's, Director of Training/Support Terry Einfalt and Susan Swihart, Client Support Supervisor, came along in the mid 90's. All still serve together and are integral parts of the success of DonorDirect.

David Smith states "Focusing on a single market has allowed our product to mature faster than competing products and to develop specific functionality that sets it apart from anything else that we have seen. While other systems need significant configuration (programming) to achieve many basic ministry functions, DirectToDonor provides these out of the box."

Frank Smith believes that while eight years is a mile stone for the company it is really a testament to the hard work and partnering spirit of our clients, "They drive the development of the product and are reaping the benefits of being on a stable product these past eight years." Franks adds "As we look at our product road map for the next few years and the technology that we are integrating into our product, the real excitement is yet to come."
